Pursuant to Article 13 of European Regulation No. 2016/679 (hereinafter GDPR) and applicable national regulations, containing provisions for the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data provided to Casa Janas through bookings and the provision of requested services, we wish to inform you of the following:

Data controller

The data controller is Amaduzzi S.r.l (VAT no. 00145360913), represented by its legal representative pro tempore, Carlo Amaduzzi, with registered office in Bari Sardo, Viale La Torre 24, (NU), Italy. Amaduzzi can be contacted at info@domusdejanas.com.

Purpose of data processing

The processing is aimed at the correct and complete execution of the acquisition and confirmation of the accommodation reservation at the Casa Janas apartments and all the ancillary and requested services, for the purposes of:

  1. a complete and correct execution of the requested services;

  2. fulfillment of legal and public safety obligations;

  3. fulfillment of contractual obligations arising from the commercial relationship and communications relating to the same;

  4. sending promotional and marketing communications regarding our services, promotions/offers, etc., including sending (occasional) newsletters, via automated tools (email), with your explicit consent;

  5. to speed up the registration procedures in case of your subsequent stays at our facility;

  6. to carry out the function of receiving messages and telephone calls addressed to you during your stay.

Treatment methods

Data processing will be carried out in full compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, and data minimization, and in any case, all the principles set forth in Article 5 of the GDPR. Processing will be carried out using both paper and/or electronic archives, using methods strictly necessary to fulfill the aforementioned purposes and in compliance with the provisions of Article 32 of the GDPR regarding security measures. Processing will be carried out by persons specifically appointed under the authority of the data controller, in compliance with Article 29 of the GDPR.

Legal basis for processing

The owner processes your data lawfully as the processing is necessary:

  • To perform the requested services and pre-contractual measures adopted upon request;

  • To pursue the legitimate interest of the owner (e.g. marketing);

  • To correctly fulfill legal obligations (administrative, accounting and tax);

  • Based on your express consent.

Consequences of failure to communicate personal data

Failure to provide personal data will prevent the contract from being concluded and your stay at Casa Janas; incorrect or partial provision of personal data may jeopardize the proper execution of the contract.

Data retention

The data will be retained for the entire duration of the stay and, subsequently, for the time required to comply with legal obligations (10 years or longer in the case of tax audits). Data acquired for marketing and loyalty purposes (quick registration for future stays) is retained for a maximum of 10 years.

Data communication

The data may be communicated to:

  • Employees and collaborators authorized by the Owner;

  • Companies that provide assistance and consultancy services in marketing and communications;

  • Providers of non-hotel services (e.g. excursions) exclusively upon request of the interested party;

  • Tax, legal, banking and insurance consultants;

  • Competent authorities for legal obligations. The entities listed above may also be domiciled outside the European Economic Area, always ensuring adequate security standards.

Profiling and dissemination of data

Personal data is not subject to automated dissemination or profiling, except for disclosures required by law or necessary for the performance of the contract.

Video surveillance

Video surveillance devices may be installed in the outdoor or common areas managed by the property for security and safety reasons. Images are deleted after 24 hours (up to 7 days in special cases) and are not disclosed to third parties unless requested by the judicial authorities.

Rights of the interested party

You have the right to:

  • Request access to, rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing of your data;

  • Object to the processing at any time for particular situations;

  • Revoke the consent given (without prejudice to the lawfulness of the previous processing);

  • File a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

Cookies and third-party sites

The website www.casajanas.com uses cookies to facilitate navigation and collect statistical data (e.g., IP address, browser type). No personal identification data is stored in the cookies, only encrypted information for technical or statistical purposes. Users can manage their cookie preferences directly from their browser.
